With the warmth of the summer sun comes the return of tiny midge bugs dancing in its bright rays. In this observational episode, I take a moment to appreciate the simple beauty of these delicate insects fluttering about in the sunlight. Midges emerge en masse near water sources, forming mesmerizing swarms that twist and turn through the air. Backlit by the sun’s radiance, their translucent wings and miniscule bodies are aglow, putting on a spectacular show. The midge’s brief lifespan gives its dance in the light a sense of poignancy. Join me as I find wonder in these fleeting moments of natural splendor and reflect on what the midge’s graceful ballet in the sun can teach us about the sacredness inherent in all life. Sometimes we just need to pause and appreciate the profound beauty in the small, ephemeral things around us.

I also just ramble on about what I see with every sunset I am thankfully blessed enough to see.
